Vietnam visa requirements for Angolan passports
The Angolan nationality is not included in the visa exemption list; therefore, all Angolan passport holders need to apply visa to Vietnam for either tourism or business purposes.
Vietnam visa is required for all Angolan citizens;
Angolan citizens are eligible for 90 days single or multiple entry e-visa;
Angolan citizens can get visa on arrival with pre-arranged visa approval letter;
1. What do Angolan applicants need for Vietnam visa?
In order to apply for Vietnam visa, the Angolan applicants will need a valid passport which is at least 6 months validity from the date of arrival and there are blank pages for visa stamp.
2. How do Angola passports apply for Vietnam visa?
2.1. Apply online for a Vietnam visa on arrival
The Angolan passport holders can apply Vietnam visa on arrival from anywhere outside of Vietnam. The Vietnam visa will be picked up upon arrival at the Vietnam airports by showing up the printed approval letter.
The visa on arrival must go with the visa approval letter issued by a Vietnam Immigration Department. Without such pre-arranged approval letter you cannot board the plane therefore cannot enter Vietnam. The visa approval letter can be arranged through a Vietnam visa agency within 3 working days (normal service), 8 working hours (rush service), 4 working hours (urgent service) or even 2 working hours (emergency service) depending on which option the applicants have chosen. Vietnam visa on arrival is especially beneficial for those living far from the Vietnam Embassy or Consulate or those who do not receive a Vietnam e-visa on time.
Notes:
– Visa on arrival is only applicable for Angolan nations traveling by air to Vietnam.
2.2. Apply for e-visa for Vietnam
From August 15, 2023, all the nationalities including Angolan citizens are eligible for 90 days (single or multiple entry) e-visas for Vietnam.
In order to apply for Vietnam e-visa, the Angolan citizens need to prepare:
- Files of passport data page photo and passport-sized photo: The passport data page photo should show 4 corners and borders of the main page in which all the information is displayed clearly without being flashed or obscured by fingers;
The passport-sized photo must be taken in recently 6 months with eyes open, straight look, without wearing hat or glasses and be taken on a white or light coloured plain background; - Credit card or debit card that are enabled to conduct online payment. You can also make a payment via PayPal when you apply for an e-visa on our website;
How to apply e-visa for Vietnam?
Below are the steps to apply for Vietnam e-visa for Angolan passport holders:
Step 1: Fill the requirement information in the visa application form.
Step 2: Pay the visa fee and get the result in 3 – 5 working days (except Saturday, Sunday and public holiday).
Step 3: Receive an email containing e-visa upon successful application, print out the e-visa and bring along with your passport to board the plane.
Step 4: Present your e-visa at immigration counter to get entry into Vietnam.
2.3. Apply for Vietnam visa directly at the Vietnamese Embassy or Consulates
