Vietnam visa requirements for Mexico nation
All the citizens of Mexico will need a visa for Vietnam for both tourism or business purposes. Nowadays, the Mexican passport holders can easily apply for Vietnam visa at the Vietnam Embassy or apply online to pickup visa at arrival airport. Each of them has its own advantage however, visa on arrival is one of the easiest and cheapest way for Mexican passports getting a Vietnam visa.
Vietnam visa is required for all Mexican citizens;
Mexican citizens are eligible for maximum 90 days single or multiple entry e-visa;
Mexican citizens can get visa on arrival with pre-arranged visa approval letter;
Mexican citizens can get a rush Vietnam visa in 4 working hours or 1 working day.
1. General information
– Vietnam visa is required for all Mexican passports;
– The Mexican passport holders can apply for 1 month or 3 months tourist visa. If they enter Vietnam for working with the Vietnamese Enterprises, they will need a business visa;
– The business visa can be 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or 1 year validity and it can be extended when it’s expired;
– The passport must have at least 6 months validity from the date of arrival with blank pages for visa sticky and stamp.
2. How do Mexican passport holders apply for Vietnam visa?
2.1. Apply for e-visa for Vietnam
From August 15, 2023, all the nationalities including Mexican citizens are eligible for 90 days (single or multiple entry) e-visas for Vietnam.
In order to apply for Vietnam e-visa, the Mexican citizens need to prepare:
- Files of passport data page photo and passport-sized photo: The passport data page photo should show up 4 corners and borders of the main page in which all the information is displayed clearly without being flashed or obscured by fingers;
The passport-sized photo must be taken in recently 6 months with eyes open, straight look, without wearing hat or glasses and be taken on a white or light coloured plain background; - Credit card or debit card that are enabled to conduct online payment. You can also make a payment via PayPal when you apply for an e-visa on our website;
How to apply e-visa for Vietnam?
Step 1: Fill the requirement information in the application form.
Step 2: Pay the visa fee and get e-visa in maximum 3 – 5 working days.
Step 3: Receive an email containing e-visa upon successful application. Please print out the e-visa, bring along with your passport to get on the plane.
Step 4: Present your e-visa at the immigration counter to get entry into Vietnam.
How to apply for urgent e-visa for Vietnam in 1 working day or few hours?
Normally, it takes 3 – 5 working days to complete an e-visa and you will receive an email to inform you that the visa is completed. You just need to enter your visa application code, email and date of birth to download your e-visa file.
After downloading your e-visa, you please check the visa information against your passport carefully. Any of spelling mistake, typos, incorrect passport number, date of arrival, entry ports… will not be accepted and it matters as the airlines will NOT let you board the plane with a wrong e-visa. Things you should notice on the Vietnam e-visa application
When applying for e-visa for Vietnam, please note that:
- When applying for Vietnam e-visa, the fee is paid to the Vietnam Immigration Department thus you don’t have to bring cash for stamping fee and the visa process at arrival airport is faster accordingly
- Payments for e-visa applications are non-refundable;
- The applicants should check the information on a granted e-visa against the passport to make sure there is no mistake;
- The processing time may take longer than 3 working days that probably affect to your flight time. You are strongly recommended to buy a flight ticket when you already received your e-visa;
- The applicants have to leave the country before applying for the next e-visa.
- While your visa application is being processed, you may receive a request for amending your visa information. In this case, the processing time will take more 3 – 5 working days after the revision is made. 2.2. Apply online for a Vietnam visa on arrival
Mexican passport holders can apply Vietnam visa on arrival from anywhere outside of Vietnam. The Vietnam visa will be picked up at the arrival airports in Vietnam after showing the printed visa approval letter and pay the stamping fee.
The approval letter will be sent via email within 3 working days (normal processing mode), 8 working hours (rush processing mode), 4 hours (urgent processing mode) or even 2 hours (emergency processing mode) depending on which option you choose when submitting the visa application. Vietnam visa on arrival is especially beneficial for those who are living far from the Vietnam Embassy or Consulate in Mexico or those whose e-visa is denied at the last minutes.
In order to get a Vietnam visa on arrival, the Mexican passport holders should pay two types of fee: the processing fee and the stamping fee.
Processing fee: It is the fee for expediting the visa approval letter.
Stamping fee: It is paid in cash to at the visa counter at the arrival airport to get the visa stamp. The applicants must prepare the processing fee in cash (USD or VND) as far as there is no ATM, money changer or any other way to withdraw money in the immigration hall and credit cards are not accepted. Other currencies will be converted into USD at given exchange rate.
Notes:
– Visa on arrival is only applicable for Mexican citizens traveling by air to Vietnam.
2.3. Apply for Vietnam visa directly at the Vietnamese Embassy or Consulates
