How to fix “in processing” e-visa for Vietnam at weekends?

My name is Clair Brigget and I am a US citizen. I leave for Vietnam on Monday morning from the US. I applied for an e-visa on the Vietnamese government portal last Monday. I just got an email and noticed that I input my passport number wrong on the application (I mistakenly left out one number). I just amended my request and resent but now the visa status is “in processing”. I am worried that I won’t get my visa on time. I know they don’t work on weekends. Is there a chance that they would fix the “in processing” status of e-visa at weekends and I get it done on Monday in Vietnam (which is my Sunday night)? I might wake up on Monday and the visa could be ready to print before I leave. But I don’t know. I have been there many times, and this never happened to me before.

Can I apply for an emergency visa on arrival now just in case they don’t process my visa on time before I fly? It should be for only a 4 hours rush, right? That means I would apply on Sunday here in the USA, you can process within 4 hours during normal working hours on Monday in Vietnam, and I would wake up on my Monday morning (Vietnam Monday night), and the approval letter should be ready. Does that sound right? How much would that be for a 4 hours rush?

If I do that, and my original visa request is approved while I am traveling, can I still use the original visa request when I arrive, or must I use the approval letter that you supply and get the stamp? I would rather use the original request because so much easier when I arrive.

Dear Clair Brigget,
I am sorry for the issue happened to your Vietnam e-visa application.
As you know, it will takes 3 working days at least to complete an e-visa via government portal. You have just re-submitted another visa application thus your visa will be taken into processing by Monday next week and supposed to be ready by Wednesday as the earliest.
Now, you are suggested to change to visa on arrival with rush service (if you travel Vietnam by air). There are some options for rush service that you can make a choice:

1) Urgent 8 hours service: the visa approval letter will be ready by 18:00 Vietnam time Monday;
2) Rush 4 hours service: the visa approval letter will be ready by 12:30 PM at noon Vietnam time Monday;
3) Emergency 2 hours service: the visa approval letter will be ready by 10:00 AM Vietnam time Monday or
4) Last minutes 1 hour service: the visa approval letter will be ready by 9:00 AM Vietnam time Monday.
5) Overtime service: the visa approval letter will be done by Saturday or Sunday, ready for your early flight on Monday.
In any case, please be sure that you will receive the visa approval letter before getting on the plane.
If you receive the e-visa before check-in time, you feel free to use it and discard the visa on arrival you applied with us.
