Letter “o” or number zero “0” in Dutch passport number?
Your passport number is made up of numbers and letters. The letter ‘O’ and the number ‘0’ can look very similar. That is why the letter ‘O’ is not used in Dutch passport numbers. You will only ever see the number ‘0’.

It looks like a letter “O” in the middle of array but it turns out to be a number zero “0”. What happen if you fill in the visa application form with letter “O”?
The visa approval letter will be issued with letter “O” as the information you submitted. When you arrived in Vietnam, the immigration officer types your passport number in the immigration system and there is no such passport number registered before. You may need to pay the fee to correct the letter of approval or your visa approval letter will not be accepted.
That’s why you are always suggested to check the visa information printed on the visa approval letter against your passport carefully before getting on the plane. If you find any mistakes or discrepancies, you will need to contact us immediately to correct it.
