Chinese passport holders can apply for a Vietnam visa by following ways:

1. Apply online for a Vietnam visa on arrival

Visa on arrival is an alternative way to obtain a visa to Vietnam in addition to the traditional way of obtaining a visa at Vietnam Embassy. This is the most preferred way that the Chinese travelers are using to get a visa for Vietnam. At present, Vietnam visa on arrival is available for those who travel by air only.

2. Apply for Vietnam e-visa

From August 15, 2023, all the nationalities are eligible for 90 days (single or multiple entry) e-visas for Vietnam. It is the cheapest and easiest way for the Chinese travelers obtaining visa for Vietnam.
Normally, it takes 3 – 5 working days to complete an e-visa and you will receive an email notifying you that the visa is completed. If you received an e-visa with spelling mistake, typos or incorrect data… it will be a problem as the airlines will not let you board the plane with it. In this case, you can apply for a new rush Vietnam e-visa in 1 working day or 4 working hours.
