Vietnam visa requirement for Bermudian nationality

Bermudian nationality is not included in the visa exemption list; therefore, all Bermudians need to apply visa to Vietnam for either tourism or business purpose.

At present, there are 3 options for the Bermudian citizens applying for Vietnam visa:

1. Apply for e-visa for Vietnam

From August 15, 2023, all the nationalities including Bermudian citizens are eligible to apply for the 90 days (single or multiple entry) e-visas for Vietnam.

In order to apply for Vietnam e-visa, the Bermudian citizens need to prepare:

  • Files of passport data page photo and passport-sized photo: The passport data page photo should show 4 corners and borders of the main page in which all the information is displayed clearly without being flashed or obscured by fingers;
    The passport-sized photo must be taken within 6 months with eyes open, straight look, without wearing hat or glasses and be taken on a white or a light coloured plain background;
  • Credit card or debit card that are enabled to conduct online payment. You can also make a payment via PayPal when you apply for an e-visa on our website;

How to apply e-visa for Vietnam?

Below are the steps to apply for Vietnam e-visa:

Step 1: Fill the requirement information in the visa application form.
Step 2: Pay the visa fee and get the result in 3 – 5 working days (except Saturday, Sunday and public holiday).
Step 3: Receive an email containing e-visa upon successful application, print out the e-visa and bring along with your passport to board the plane.
Step 4: Present your e-visa at immigration counter to get entry into Vietnam.

How to get?Step 1. Go online at the visa application form and select "Vietnam visa on arrival";
Step 2. Make payment of the service fee;
Step 3. Receive a visa approval letter via email;
Step 4. Get visa stamped at arrival airport in Vietnam after presenting the visa approval letter, original passport, photos, entry and exit form and stamping fee in cash.
Step 1. Connect to the visa application form and select "30 days single entry (tourist e-visa)"
Step 2: Complete the form and attach with photos of yourself and your passport data page;
Step 3. Make payment of visa fee and receive a visa registration code;
Step 4. Check the visa application progress by entering the visa registration code, email and date of birth and then print the e-visa when it has been approved.
WarningIt may, but just sometimes, take you up to 30 minutes or 1 hour to get visa stamped at Vietnam airport if there are too many people arriving at the same time.- As this kind of visa is very new, of which some certain airlines or even immigration staff at the airports may have not been aware and therefore may refuse it, you should check with your airlines in advance to avoid this;

2. Apply for Vietnam visa on arrival:

If it is inconvenient for you to visit the Vietnam Embassy in neighboring countries, you may select Vietnam visa on arrival to simplify your visa application process.
Visa on arrival is an alternative way to obtain a visa to Vietnam in addition to the traditional way of obtaining a visa at Vietnam Embassy or Consulates. Once issued, it has same validity with the visa get from Vietnamese Embassy or Consulates. However, visa on arrival is applicable for those who travel Vietnam by airplane only.

3. Apply for a visa at the Vietnam Embassy:

Since there is no representative office of Vietnam’s government in Bermuda at present, the foreigners (including Bermudian citizens and other nationalities residing in Bermuda) are suggested to contact the nearest Vietnamese Embassy in neighboring countries: Cuba and Venezuela to get pre-stamped visa.
